款识：“大明宣德年制”款|（原盖，原托座）||注解：此炉沉稳庄重，工艺精湛。炉式自宣德簋式炉发展而来，高圈足，带座，胎体厚实凝重，铜质精炼，雕工细腻，繁复灿烂。盖钮铸莲花座上祥龙盘附，犹如博山仙境；盖以錾刻、镂空法铸造，紫气祥云，苍龙隐现，龙须飘扬，怒目含威，五爪强劲，威武矫健，流云飞动，似有翻江倒海之势。两侧设狮首衔环耳。腹部錾刻海水波涛锦地、海八怪图案，其间海马、狮、象、翼龙、鱼等各色海兽奔逐浮现，形态各异，饶有恢弘之气。底座制成须弥座式，六字楷书款“大明宣德年制”。器身色泽沉古，凝重华丽。试想焚香时，轻烟由香炉内飘出，缭绕炉体四周，海水流云滚动，祥龙瑞兽隐没翻腾，似在昆仑仙境。||参阅：《馆藏牙雕暨明清铜炉特展》第80页，253号。
