Description

A pair of large Chinese porcelain baluster jars and covers, late Qing dynasty, painted in famille rose enamels with Xi Wangmu and a number of attendants beneath a ruyi-shaped border, unmarked, 44.5cm highWear to enamels throughout, nibbles to the tops of the lids, a few deep scratches to the glaze on the bodies, some wear to the underside of the footrims, there is some wear to the glaze (particularly to the white) which has produced a matte-effect. Upper rims appear to have been very marginally reduced to conceal nibbles. Please see additional photos for reference.
