A Chinese hardwood and mother-of-pearl inlaid table screen and stand, mid-19th century, set with silk embroidered panel decorated with birds and butterflies amidst trees and floral sprays, 87cm x 58cm(VAT charged on hammer price)Several losses to mother of pearl inlay. Pieces of wood missing from the frame which hold the screen in place in the base. The silk is brittle, and as a result there are several tears, most notably a horizontal tear at the bottom of the panel.
