COLT DRAGOON REVOLVER, 1st MODEL .44 caliber, the top flat section of the mechanism stamped 'ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY', the cylinder etched with an Indian and Dragoon battle scene, with two cartouches inscribed 'MODEL U.S.M.R.' and 'COLT'S PATENT', inscribed 'D Company No. 32' twice on the left side, with a mahogany grip, the underside, brass trigger guard and butt strap stamped with serial number 1826 (four times), circa 1847-48, with brass bullet mould, copper flask and cleaning rod, contained in fitted case
