LONG LIFE FISHING BOX in lacquer called "Coromandel", with intaglio carved decoration enhanced with polychromy on a brown background, representing two young women on a terrace, the rim decorated with peonies and bamboos. A calligraphy engraved on the lid specifies that they are E Huang and Nü Ying, two sisters who were the wives of Emperor Shun, symbols of the virtuous woman. With signature of the Xie Jin Ji workshop and dated in the Jiawu year of Qianlong, 1774.
