说明：在佛教经典中，以狮为坐骑的菩萨形象有二，一为文殊菩萨，是聪明和智慧之化身，坐骑为青狮；一为观世音菩萨，以慈悲和法力着称，是最受民间崇敬的菩萨。《法华经》记载，观世音菩萨有三十三相，狮吼观音为其中之一。在民间信仰中，狮吼观音最早出现于隋代。明清之际，供奉狮吼观音更为流行，笔记小说中亦多以狮作为观音坐骑，又称为金毛犼，威猛无比。观音游戏坐于狮背之上，面容饱满，束发垂于耳后，身着天衣，胸前佩戴璎珞，臂饰圆钏，左手结印置于腹前，右手持如意。座下狮子蜷眉突睛，张嘴望天吼叫，神态威猛。观音法相慈祥，衣纹垂坠自然流畅，胎质细腻坚致，白釉温润如玉。
