婴戏图是瓷器中常见的纹饰题材，早在唐代长沙窑瓷器上就有出现，晚明时期在青花和彩瓷中出现较多婴戏图。拍品纹饰布局考究，外壁以青花通绘婴戏“百子嬉春”图。百子的典故最早出于《诗经》，是歌颂周文王子孙众多的。画面常用谐音谐意，寓意多福多寿，多子多孙，子孙昌盛，万代延续。这也是时人多子多福美好愿望的一种体现。
