Bi Botao, also known as Huangshan Qiaozi, was born in Yi County, Anhui Province in 1886. When living in Jingdezhen, he specialized in pastel ceramics. After studying the painting style of the Xinluoshan people, his work became unique and very rich in life style, and has both deities. His flower and bird painting skilled at expressing the instantaneous dynamics of fowls and bright flowers and trees. The style is handsome and fresh.
