和阗白玉质地，玉质细腻温润。器体为长方形，四角内倭，外缘饰窄边，器表减地浮雕海屋添筹纹样。下半部雕为惊涛巨浪，细阴线雕刻水波，波浪起伏有致，水中立一楼阁，只露出屋顶。一团云朵自半空飘过，云朵上站立二位仙人，天空中一仙鹤口衔树枝飞向海屋，远处雕刻仙山。此纹饰为传统祝寿之祥瑞图样，李开先《林冲宝剑记》第二出有载：“欣逢日吉时良，海屋添筹，南山寿祝无疆。”现北京故宫及慈禧娘家桂公府中之房梁即有之。背面镂空雕琢两道宽梁，中部可用于穿带。整器题材特殊，雕工精美，寓意吉祥，可谓明代玉带穿之精品。
