A Caucasian silver niello belt, Imperial Russia, 19th 20th century.
Good quality, Russian Imperial period, Caucasian silver belt made of niello 84 zolotniki (.875 sterling standard) pieces connected with chains. Stamped with two, different maker’s stamps: ШШ and ЯС. Kokoshnik stamp used 1899-1908. Buckle with inscription in niello, in Cyrillic:“КАВКАЗЪ“ (Caucasus). All silver – niello plates are decorated with floral ornaments, chiseling.

Weight: 180 g. Length: 108 cm.

Condition report: very good condition for the age. With light, natural patina. Minor marks and scratches due to the normal wear. Fastening dagger on the buckle missing.
