After graduating from Shanghai Fine Arts School, he became one of the main painters for Chinese Comics, The Comic World and Shanghai Comics. He, together with Ye Qianyu, Zhang Guangyu, Wang Zimei, etc., contributed to the development of Salvation Comics.
