A bronze oil lamp comprising a biconvex discus and flared foot, elongated nozzle with D-shaped lip, lateral ears and pellet eyes forming a stylized human face, hinged scallop lid, loop handle with dolphin thumb-pad. 280 grams, 16cm (6 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired on the London art market in the 2000s.
