A bronze figure of a standing bearded male priest(?) wearing a toga held at his left hip; bronze serpent bent round the figure's neck and beneath the right arm, gold wire collar round the serpent's body. See Rolland, H., Bronzes Antiques de Haute Provence, Paris, 1965, item 197, for type. 162 grams, 90mm (3 1/2"). Ex an important Dutch collection; acquired on the European art market in the 1970s.
