《中国古籍善本总目》集部曲类著录。为明臧懋循编、明陶宗仪等撰《元曲选一百种一百卷、论曲一卷、元曲论一卷》之一种。讲述王莽时，天下大乱，人相食。赵孝弟赵礼为饿贼所得，孝闻之，自缚诣贼，曰：“礼久饿羸瘦，不如孝肥饱。”贼大惊，并释之。乡党服其义。《后汉书．赵孝传》有载。后遂以“赵礼让肥”为兄弟友爱之典。
