是书即先秦古书《文子》，民国涵芬楼据南宋本影印续古逸丛书大开本。唐时封文子为“通玄真人”，其书遂又得此名。内容为解说《老子》思想，继承并发展了“道”的学说。其书自柳宗元之后被认为是伪书，故历代研究者较少。然1973年河北出土定县简，李学勤先生在整理竹简时发现内有六篇与今本文子内容相同，故可证其为先秦著作无疑。此书前有朱笔题跋，题写其来源，购之于布衣书局，清雅可爱，可添故事。
