A Japanese heavily carved arm chair dating from the Meiji era. The chair features dragon armrests and the back has been decorated with a dragon and flower motif. Chair has ebonised wood finish with natural wood seat. Dimensions: 44 inches tall X 25 inches wide X 20 inches deep; 111.8 cm tall X 63.5 cm wide X 50.8 cm deep. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Very minor wear mostly due to age. Provenance: From an estate in Rhode Island. These items were imported by the family's great-grandfather, who was an importer of Japanese products in the late 19th - early 20th century. Descended through the family.
