Utagawa Hiroshige II (Japanese, 1826-1869) woodblock prints. The woodblocks from Hiroshige include: a traveling scene with litters carrying a patron past a shrine with two seals in red; an unframed print of a possible parade with archers passing a seated female. Image does have a signature and the mounting board bears a sticker with "Original" Hiroshige II 1826-1869, the cover is stamped Yamatoya Fine Art Gallery. The last Hiroshige depicts a bridge scene in blue, black and tan portrays people walking over a bridge. On the back is paperwork "Genuine Hiroshige 1818-1858. The woodblock print by the unknown artist possibly depicts the manufacturing of rice paper. Dimensions: sight size- 12 1/2 inches wide X 8 1/4 inches tall; 31.8 cm wide X 21 cm tall. Frame- 12 5/8 inches wide X 14 1/2 inches tall; 32.1 cm wide X 36.8 cm tall. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The first two have some age wear; the third has age wear; a possible hole; and crinckling at the top left corner. The print by the unknown artist has no noted damage. None of the images have been examined out of frame. Provenance: From a collection in Northern Virginia.
