S.P. Gerz Stein Company (German, founded 1857) porcelain. The lid features a boy playing the harp and the stein depicts a village scene. It is incised with the Gerz mark, 'W. Germany,' and '1' on the base; the lid is incised with the Gerz mark and '6.' Dimensions: 46 inches tall X 41 1/2 inches wide; 116.8 cm tall X 105.4 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Small firing defects throughout and sticker residue at the top. Provenance: From a collection in Leesburg, Virginia, purchased at Busch Gardens in 1995.
