Willy Whitten (American, 20th century) Legends, bronze, 'Dream Medicine.' The sculpture consist of five individual pieces a triangular sandstone base, fixed tripod of sculpted wooden poles with attached feathers, a fur quiver containing a bow and arrows, ceremonial pipe and shield with medicine bag, eagle foot, attached feathers and strips of leather in bronze. The shield has icons of buffalo, lightning bolts and possibly a bear. The stand is inscribed with 882/950 and signature. The shield is inscribed with Legends, USA and copyright 1993, center feather has the name of the piece 'Dream Medicine'. Dimensions: 18 inches tall X 19 5/8 inches wide at base; 45.7 cm tall X 49.8 cm wide at base. All measurements are approximate. Condition: No noted damage.
