窑变釉即器物在窑内烧成时，由于窑中含有多种呈色元素，经氧化或还原作用，出窑后呈现意想不到的釉色效果。由于其出现出于偶然，形态特别，人们又不知其原理，只知于窑内焙烧过程变化而得，故称之为“窑变”，俗语有“窑变无双”，谓其变化莫测，独一无二。 贯耳瓶流行于宋代，器形为仿汉代投壶式样，哥窑、官窑、龙泉窑等多有烧制，清代亦喜此样式，故仿制者众多。自乾隆时期烧造以来，一直流行至晚清，是官窑传统品种此拍品为海棠式口，微外侈，直颈两侧饰两管状耳，长方扁体腹至下外鼓，腹部前后有凸起的桃形纹样，长方形圈足。通体施窑变釉，釉汁肥厚斑斓。
