此瓶造型饱满端秀，内口沿及底部施淡松石绿釉。外壁通景以粉彩绘五老观太极图，五老聚於庭院之中，观太极蝠纹手卷，庭中山石环绕，林木葱葱，红蝠飞舞，一派恬淡世外情怀，寓意福从天降，天下太平，兼具浓厚文人气息，画工精细雅丽，传世不为多见。五老观画的典故源自《水经注·卷五》记载：“《吕氏春秋》曰：昔帝尧修河洛，择良议沈，率舜等升於首山，而遵河渚，有五老游焉，相谓河图将来，高帝以期，知我者重瞳也。五老乃翻为流行而升於昴，即於此也。又东，泲水注焉。”拍品形制与北京故宫博物院藏清雍正青花釉里红牡丹诗文瓶相类，可资参阅。
