Kolar created arresting and unique visual art throughout his lifetime, and has been referred to as the 'Master of Collage'. He influenced and invented many new techniques in collage, including confrontage, froissage and rollage. Please refer to department for condition report This work is in a black wooden glazed frame. The work has been stuck down onto foam, which is attached to the backing board. The edges of the piece are indeed slighted frayed in areas, this could have been the artist. The left hand corner has a small crease. And on the right hand corner on the edge of the work is a black mark, that is only visible on close inspection. Overall the work is in very good condition.
