Scheerer of Paris. A late 19th century French ormolu and Sevres style porcelain mantel clock, surmounted with Cupid beside two lovebirds, with Vincenti eight day signed countwheel movement, the Sevres plaques painted with cherubs and flowers, width 9.75in. depth 5in. height 10.25in. CONDITION: Overall a little dirty and dusty but underneath that in good order, ormolu is a mid gold slightly matted tone, a little dirtier on the upper su***ces, enamel dial looks original but numerous hairline cracks and a small loss near 4 o'clock, hour hand present but no minute hand, does not appear to have ***r been glazed, porcelain plaques good, one small section of beading loose from the left hand side but still present, feet a little wobbly, comes with pendulum but no key, movement looks complete but not ****ed for timekeeping.
