Chinese ,Qing Dynasty, of rounded form with deep rounded sides set on a short, waisted foot, a 'jade' piece attached to the center of the cover with a 'bat' metal piece attached underneath. Doomed cover centered with medallion surrounded by stylized foo lion and ruyi-head bands, with interlinking scrolls serving as the principal decoration, their curling vines, furled leaves, creating a complex network of color against the pink ground, a band of stylized pink lappets at the rim, repeated beast motif encircling the center of the cover, keyfret bands and gilt to the rims.
