A Chinese calligraphy couplet in ink on orange paper decorated with flowers by Zhang Zhidong. The couplet has 2 seals. It is mounted on a silk backing with silk dowels. Dimensions are: 54 in. tall X 10 1/2 in. wide, 137.2 cm tall X 26.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: The backing is splitting; creasing; general age wear; repairs to one calligraphy. Provenance: From a Ma***and collector related to Liang Dingfen.
