A Chinese white jade necklace dating from the 19th century. The necklace features a white jade toggle pendant that depicts a trio of hulu gourds and a bat. There is a Shou character on the clasp. Dimensions are: the toggle measures 2 inches tall X 1 inches wide, 5.1 cm tall X 2.5 cm wide; the necklace is 17 1/2 inches long, 44.5 cm long. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in good condition. Provenance: From a Dr. Wang in Northern California. Dr. Wang is a retired professor from the School of Business at California State University.
