A pair of Imperial Chinese blue and white porcelain plates with a Guangxu mark. The face of each plate has a repeating border pattern of bagua, ruyi clouds, and cranes. The center of the plates show a pattern of rocks and waves around a five-clawed ****** with a flaming pearl. The back of the plates are each decorated with four bats and a 6 character mark. Dimensions are: 1 1/2 inches tall X 5 3/4 inches diameter, 3.8 cm tall X 14.6 cm diameter. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a rim chip to the foot of 1, the other is in good condition. Provenance: From an estate in Northern California.
