清乾隆 礬紅寶相花甘露瓶 Qing Dynasty period. The tapering ovoid body decorated with lotus sprays between bands of upright leaf tips and lotus petals supported on a broad domed foot encircled by a band of petal lappets, the tall cylindrical neck encircled by a collar and decorated with bands of key-fret, florets, lappets and ruyi, the base bearing a six character Qianlong reign mark. Height: 8 1/2 in (21.6 cm) Diameter: 4 1/2 in (11.4 cm) 甘露瓶亦稱“藏草瓶”，是藏傳佛教陳設所用的法器，它是藏傳佛教密宗修行儀式中的供佛之物。舊習，在觀音像旁供楊柳枝，柳枝插於此瓶內，瓶之得名或以此據。清代甘露瓶的製作以乾隆一朝為勝，乾隆帝一心禮佛向善，因此製作了大量的藏域法器，以備清帝賞賜西藏高僧之用。此甘露瓶以礬紅繪折枝蓮紋作主體紋飾，並輔以迴紋、朵梅紋、如意紋、蕉葉紋，色彩協調，絢而不艷，美而不俗。甘露瓶一般作以下數種用途：於瓶內盛淨水，上插藏草， 以示淋灑之甘露，以瓶盛五寶、五香、五藥、五穀及香水等二十種物，供養佛菩薩，則以此開顯淨菩提心之德。 “大清乾隆年制”款識。
