款识：一九五九年初冬月虎卿房房山写于荆溪精舍|钤印：虎卿（朱） 房山（白）|简介：房毅，一作房房山，字虎卿，号揖峰。江苏常州人。工画山水、走兽，擅绘墨龙。为承名世之师。解放后以七十高龄，赴各地写生，精工逼真，无老态。女素钿，亦擅绘事。参见《榆园画友录》。
