清·桐城姚鼐撰纸本线装四册一函清宣统初元小万柳堂据海源阁本写刻红印本说明：《惜抱轩尺牍》为典型的学人尺牍，表露出姚鼐抑宋扬汉的学术取向、熔铸唐宋的诗学宗旨、义理考据辞章兼顾的为文之道，与姚鼐他文"微显互证相辅而益明"。书首有牌记“宣统初元小万柳堂据海源阁本重橅刊”，书口有“小万柳堂”。是本刊刻精工不苟，字体圆润雅致，由万柳夫人吴芝瑛手书上板，是清末著名精写刻本。且为红印本，实属稀见。吴芝瑛（1867一1933) ，字紫英（女），别号万柳夫人。桐城县高甸人。生于诗书之家。热衷民主革命、妇女运动，以书法闻名京师，与徐自华、秋瑾并称“三才女”。钤印：黎阳朱氏所藏
