A Copper Guanyin Statue
Ht.52cm Wd.37cm
The Bodhisattva sits on a waist lotus seat in a half-hung style, with the comforting seal of his left handheld on the chest, and the right hand is placed on the leg with the Shi and seal. Both hands hold the lotus flower. He wears a leaf crown, jewels, a shawl, and a loincloth. His eyes drooped, he was concentrating on his thoughts, and the corners of his mouth rose as if smiling. His beautiful style continues the Han-Tibetan style made by the court in the early Ming Dynasty but has been ingeniously changed in detail. It is important to work for us to study the evolution of the style of gold and bronze statues in the Ming Dynasty. The statue is of refined copper quality, elegant posture, and refined and unique decoration craftsmanship. They are undoubtedly a rare and precious piece of statues of similar themes.
