题识：有路难行不如醉 不知城市有间人、少魂大医师、法政、谭延闿钤印：「谭延闿印」、「祖安」 谭延闿（1880～1930），字组庵，号畏三，1880年生，清末长沙府茶陵人。谭延闿是近代君主立宪派领导人。清光绪进士，授翰林院编修，华兴会成员之一。1904年与龙绂瑞等倡建湖南图书馆。一贯重视文化教育工作。辛亥革命时附和革命，长沙光复后，被举为湖南军政长和参议院议长。后三任湖南都督。1912年加入国民党，任湖南支部长。后历任湖南省长兼督军、国民党中央政治委员会主席、国民政府主席、行政院长等职。谭延闿工书法、善诗联，擘窠榜书、蝇头小楷均极精妙。
