An Anglo-Indian specimen timber secretaire cabinet, first half 19th century, the fall opening to an arrangement of pigeon holes and drawers around a pair of central cupboard doors, 158cm high, 122cm wide, 50cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, Old splits and cracks, Chips, losses, and some replacements to veneers and mouldings, spliced repair above one rear leg. The handles are replacements, the top drawer with evidence of previous holes, the drawers to the base have required some timber to be cut out of the doors to accommodate, there are polish deposits to the handles. The interior with exotic specimen timber veneers, these pull handles appear to be the original, The fall with warping, one corner standing proud of the carcass, All elements are open and unlocked at time of report, there is a key with the item but it does not operate either of the locks.
