捧盒呈圆形，上下子母口套合，曲腹，圈足。造型饱满，通体以珊瑚红釉描金装饰，盖口、盖顶及盒身口部各饰花卉纹，纹饰布局清晰明敞，无繁密局促之感。底部有“永庆长春”四字描金楷书款。红色自古以来就是吉祥喜庆之色，在清代皇帝大婚用器中，作为主色调的红色一般与金彩同时使用，营造出一种热烈的喜庆气氛。珊瑚红配以金彩装饰，华贵气派。据传，双喜字为宋代大文豪王安石所创，成为庆典，尤其是婚嫁的吉庆符瑞。
