款识：“宜兴紫砂”（底款）说明：此对笔筒以紫砂段泥制作而成，器呈菱形，造型周正，端庄古朴，器表包浆厚润，色泽古朴。外壁两面刻诗文，两面刻花卉，刻工老辣，凸显文人气息。从其中一面刻“知过轩主人刻于东坡”可知，此件笔筒为民国紫砂大师白应生所制，其传世品无多，殊可收藏。白应生，民国时期紫砂大师，字琢如(刻万货)，号知过轩主人。善用古文装饰紫砂，书法有晋人风韵，功力颇深，民国时期一流陶刻名家。
