镌刻：“一九五五年九月，蜀山紫砂工厂蒋蓉制”（器面）“蜀山陶业生产合作社”（器身）说明：此件作品为花货大师蒋蓉所制，紫泥质地，呈圆饼状造型，质感沉重，手头颇佳。一面琢各式桃花造型，一面镌刻“一九五五年九月，蜀山紫砂工厂蒋蓉制。”此物定是早年蒋蓉大师随身相伴之物，可玩可藏，极为珍贵。蒋蓉(1919-2008)，别号林凤，宜兴川埠潜洛人。11岁随父亲蒋鸿泉学艺，是当代中国工艺美术大师，为紫砂艺术界著名的“七大老艺人”之一。也是其中唯一的女性，是位德高望重的花货大师。
