Wooden Gilt and Painted Skanda Statue Late of Ming Dynasty 韦陀菩萨是佛的护法神，相传姓韦名琨，是南方增长天王属下八大神将之一，位居32员神将之首。据说，在释迦佛入涅时，邪魔把佛的遗骨抢走，韦陀及时追赶，奋力夺回。因此佛教便把他作为驱除邪魔，保护佛法的天神。该雕像以木为胎，外漆金绘彩，身披战甲神态威武，做工精致，为古代闽工木雕之精品。
