此玉环具有战国风格，满红沁色，截面呈椭圆形，表面饰有细密的斜线，似丝束拧卷，一股一股循环往复，如绞拧的绳索。这类纹饰主要流行于战国时期，一些玉环的丝纹较粗，此作品所饰为细纹，花纹排列整齐，加工一丝不苟，是战国时期重要的玉佩饰。春秋战国时是绳纹古玉的鼎盛时期，绳纹镯、环时有出土，此时的绳纹较细密，并360度斜向绞圈，考古学术界将这样的绳纹称为绞丝纹或扭丝纹。
