题识：录刘诚意伯语，以应云程先生雅属，钮永建时年八十有八。|钤印：钮永建印|▲||释文：惟有知止知足知谦，以淡泊节俭为务则无欲，无欲则心清气爽而智慧生焉。||作者简介：钮永建，出生于上海，早年于德国陆军大学攻习军事，1905年加入中国同盟会，曾任中华民国临时政府参谋部次长、代理总长。讨伐袁世凯失利后，流亡日本，加入中华革命党。1924年中国国民党一大后出任国民政府中央政治会议秘书长，1927年国民政府定都南京后，钮永建任国民政府秘书长，后任江苏省主席。
