此瓶圆口，直颈，圆折肩，直筒状腹。为典型的康熙制器。通体施釉上五彩，绘庭院高士图，上书诗文：“重湖夜色已沉沉，楼阁参差半夕阴。南浦钟声和雨至，满村渔火山前林。”诗画相映，一片闲然自得。
康熙五彩又称“硬彩”，与淡雅柔软的粉彩相对应。此瓶的黄釉、绿釉、珊瑚红均显康熙朝的典型色彩特征，色料浓重，但色浓而不妖艳，蛤蜊光明显。白釉洁净，玉质感强。整个画面采用兼工带写的手法，是难得的收藏佳品。
