DESCRIPTION: A 19th Cent French Mantel clock composed of a bronze sculpture depicting the mythological scene of Hercules supporting the world. Featutingan 8 day movement with anchor escapement and half hour strike on a bell, percussion stamped "Vincenti & Cie 1855" and Barrard and Vignoon Rue D'Horlogerie paris. The spherical clock is composed of rouge marble, encompassed by a bronze Zodiac and Roman Numerals, completed with serpentine hands. The overall structure stands atop a Rouge marble rectangular base.
