Boite Tibet, 19ème siècle Argent repoussé et partiellement doré, 13,3 X 9 cm Ornée des signes auspicieux (la conque, le parasol, les poissons, l'urne, la roue, la bannière, le lotus, le noeud) sur le dessus et de motifs floraux sur le dessous. Une grecque court autour des deux éléments constituant la boite. Les huit symboles furent offerts par les devas au Bouddha lors de sa naissance en reconnaissance de sa «royauté ». Box Tibet, 19th century Silver embossed and partially gilded, 13,3 X 9 cm Ornamented with auspicious signs (conch, parasol, fish, urn, wheel, banner, lotus, knot) on the top and floral motifs on the base. A greek frieze runs around the two elements making up the box. The eight symbols were offered by the devas to the Buddha at the time of his birth in recognition of his "royalty".
