Early Dynastic Period, 3150-2686 BC. A tall biconvex alabaster jar with flared mouth. 6.7 kg, 40cm (15 3/4"). From the Sidhu family collection; previously the property of the current ownerÂ’s late grandfather, Mr Havildar Sundar Singh Sidhu, who migrated from India to Kenya to become chief scoutmaster for Kenya in the 1950s, and later emigrated to London bringing with him his substantial collection, in the 1960s.
