William REYNOLDS-STEPHENS (1862-1943): "Queen Guinevere's Redeeming" or "Guinevere's Redeeming", an important bronze with a beautifully shaded medal patina resting on a stone base, signed on the back and dated 1916. Height of the bronze 75 cm. Total height 87 cm. The same chryselephantine model preserved at the WARRINGTON MUSEUM, ENGLAND. This artist was Director of the Royal Accademy School in London, President of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, and won a gold medal in Vienna in 1900.
