VERY BEAUTIFUL COLUMN in black portor marble veined with white and ochre, resting on a pedestal with tori and cavets, the twisted shaft supporting a rotating capital in chiselled gilded bronze, decorated with allegories of the arts framing characters after Michelangelo: Moses, Laurent de Medici, female and male busts in the taste of the Renaissance.
