刀尖圆钝，刀背前二分之一处开有反刃，与日本刀形制“小乌丸”互有借鉴。刀身锻造精良，旋焊纹理极为精彩，并装饰有工整精美的“回”形血槽——两短血槽通过回形纹相连，将长槽夹于其间。刀身配有铁制吞口。护手为铁制圆盘形，四周起滚边，包浆较厚。刀柄为方装，残存有鋄银痕迹，后配缠绳，或有修配。全长87厘米。
