西藏康巴地区的怀刀与长刀的形制基本一致，只是刀身更为尖锐。刀身一侧开刃，锻打流水纹路明显。云形护手带有厚滚边，柄装镂雕有植物纹饰。刀柄包裹有白色珍珠鱼皮，其上安装铜制押条，镶嵌有红色宝石。柄首为如意形，亦镶嵌红色宝石。刀鞘胎体为木制，四周有铁质包边，一侧安装了铜制押板。全长52厘米。
