随着侵略战争的扩大，日本本国资源几近枯竭，在军刀制作上也是能省则省，因此开始装备大量简化的九五军刀。刀条为机制，刀镡为铁镡，为了模仿传统柄卷，刀柄为铝制上漆而成，卡榫改为弹簧片形式。因此在当时也有“九五铁棒”的称谓。此刀为名古屋兵工厂制造，有一定的使用痕迹。全长96厘米。
