Two white jade carvingsDragon belt hook: Qing dyansty
The first a dragon belt hook, its gently curving shaft terminated with a dragon head with bulging eyes facing a deeply undercut chilong holding a scroll in its mouth, the underside supporting a raised button; the second a wood box with lobed sides fitted with a conforming white jade plaque serving as the cover, carved in relief between lingzhi scrolls depicting a figure rowing a boat along a river surrounded by precipitous cliffs strewn with pine trees.
