Two lady's silk brocade jacketsQing dynasty, 19th century
The first a short light aquamarine blue jacket, woven with pleasing flowers and butterflies, finished with black satin collar and hemp bands densely embroidered with flowers, later replaced pink silk sleeve bands; the second a central opening long jacket, the black silk brocade decorated with flowers and phoenixes, further adorned with floral ribbons and gold thread-embroidered blue silk sleeve bands.
